Welcome to Trefriw Outdoors. The aim of this website is to promote our village and its environs as well as being a useful resource for residents and visitors alike. Trefriw is situated right at the heart of the Conwy Valley and is surrounded by the most verdant, scenic countryside. This most pleasant location lends itself benevolently to some of the most popular outdoor activities for all age groups including cycling and walking.

Activities in our area
Walking
Trefriw has gained a great reputation as a centre for many walking activities. Trefriw Outdoors has a series of eight trails to suit all abilities. There are also numerous mountain and lakeside walks to choose from and these are illustrated throughout this website.

Watersports
We are blessed with two of the most spectacular lakes close to Trefriw (Geirionydd and Crafnant). Both lakes lie in the most stunning surroundings and offer different facilities. Geirionydd offers watersports for everyone (paddle and power boating) whilst Crafnant is a much more peaceful environment.
Adrenalin Rush
The newly opened surf centre in Dolgarrog (2 miles away) has added to the many high energy activites available in the area, be they on land, water, in the air and underground! After a hard day out Trefriw offers facilities for relaxing with friends around a drink or a meal.
Climbing
Snowdonia has some of the best climbs in the UK and the area provides venues for all abilities. There are many local climbing centres and a wealth of local guides and instructors on hand for both the experienced and the novice. Trefriw has long been a haven for climbers and ramblers.
Mountain Biking
With so many MTB centres on our doorstep, mountain bikers are spoilt for choice. From tranquil forest trails to serious downhill, there is a route for everyone. Two miles from the Marin Trail, Trefriw lies at the very heart of the mountain biking community and offers MTB visitors to the area the chance to refuel and relax.
